TLCC Kaunas Roadshow: A Championship-Driven Bridge for Turkish–Lithuanian Business

Kaunas, Lithuania – Following the impactful visit to Klaipėda, the Turkish Lithuanian Chamber of Commerce (TLCC) continued its dynamic roadshow in Kaunas, Lithuania’s beating heart of innovation, resilience, and championship spirit—home to EuroLeague legend Šarūnas Jasikevičius.

TLCC’s Kaunas leg embodied the synergy between strategic economic partnerships and a winning mentality, akin to the city’s storied basketball tradition. The delegation, accompanied by H.E. Görkem Barış Tantekin, Turkish Ambassador to Lithuania, and Mr. Gökhan Karaca, Commercial Counselor of the Turkish Embassy in Vilnius, engaged in a series of high-level dialogues aimed at enhancing bilateral trade and investment relations.

Highlights of the Kaunas Roadshow:

  • Kaunas Free Economic Zone (FEZ):

TLCC explored the region’s dynamic investment landscape with Director General Vytas Petružis, and toured the zone’s facilities, examining strategic opportunities for Turkish investors.

  • Kaunas City Municipality:

A pivotal meeting with Mayor Visvaldas Matijošaitis addressed urban development, economic cooperation, and areas of mutual growth between Turkish and Lithuanian stakeholders.

  • Kaunas Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts (Kauno PPA):

Lively exchanges with President Zigmantas Dargevičius and local business representatives revealed robust enthusiasm for expanding Turkish-Lithuanian commercial ties.

  • Kaunas District Municipality:

TLCC was welcomed by Mayor Valerijus Makūnas, reinforcing the importance of regional engagement and decentralized cooperation models.

  • Hegelmann Group:

An insightful behind-the-scenes visit with Anton Hegelmann shed light on innovative logistics operations and potential areas of collaboration.

A Message of Gratitude

TLCC extends its sincere appreciation to all institutional partners, business leaders, and visionaries who contributed to the success of the Kaunas Roadshow. Special thanks to Ema Pavalkyte-Yanardag, Anton Hegelmann, Vytis Arlauskas, Arnas Ukeniekas, and Ingrida Braziūnienė for their exceptional support and hospitality.

Kaunas continues to shine—on and off the court—as a true champion of economic potential and international collaboration.
