Vilnius, Lithuania – 30 August 2025 – Today, the Turkish–Lithuanian Chamber of Commerce (TLCC) proudly joins the people of Türkiye in honoring one of the most important national holidays: Victory Day (Zafer Bayramı).
This day marks the decisive victory of the Battle of Dumlupınar on 30 August 1922, a turning point that ultimately led to the establishment of the Republic of Türkiye under the leadership of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.
Honoring the Spirit of Independence
Victory Day is a time to remember the courage, determination, and unity of the Turkish people during the War of Independence. It is also a time to reflect on the enduring legacy of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the visionary founder of the Republic, and the many heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice for a free and sovereign Türkiye.
“As we celebrate Victory Day, we pay tribute to the values of independence, perseverance, and national pride — values that continue to inspire our work at TLCC,” said the TLCC Board.
“We are honored to share this important occasion with our members, partners, and friends across Lithuania and beyond.”
A Symbol of Unity and Friendship
While rooted in Türkiye’s history, Victory Day also symbolizes the unbreakable bonds between nations built on shared values, mutual respect, and collaboration. At TLCC, we remain committed to strengthening economic, cultural, and diplomatic ties between Türkiye and Lithuania, guided by the spirit of unity that this day represents.
Happy Victory Day!
May the memory of 30 August continue to inspire generations to come.
